Bottom line - therapy tends to be focused on the past, and how that relates to the present. Coaching, focuses on the present and how that relates to the future you'd like to achieve.

  • While the duration depends on your individual needs, coaching typically has a defined beginning, middle and end. On average, they can run from 3 to 6 months. Sessions are typically an hour long, and can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly based on your needs. At the end, the coach and client can reevaluate and determine if a new period of time should be added, typically because there are new goals the client wishes to achieve. Coaching is not meant to be forever. Instead, it's all about achieving your goals.

  • Here's how I pick a coach:

    1. Ethics - do I see a demonstration of strong ethical boundaries and values from the coach?

    2. Personality - do I feel this is someone that really 'gets' me, and I feel connected?

    3. Experience - this can go both ways, sometimes I look for someone with a similar background, so I can feel they fully understand my experiences. Other times, I want someone from a completely diverse background and no shared experience so I can receive a totally new perspective.

    4. Availability - does the coach match your schedule?

    5. Communication - do you feel like the coach is responsive and genuinely invested in your growth and development?

  • Sessions are held over Zoom.

We start with a discovery session. This is where we identify your goals, strengths, and areas of focus. I will ask you a series of questions to better understand what brought you to coaching. We will also design together how you would like to proceed with our arrangements.

From that point, each session will be about empowering you to identify ways to move forward with the goals you have set for our coaching agreement. We will discuss barriers and the strategies to overcome them, using your strengths to help you see real positive forward momentum.

At the end of each session, you will determine actions you want to take in between sessions that will further the outcomes you hope to achieve.

Each session, we will check in on your progress and adjust along the way to meet the needs of today.

My goal is you will leave each session a little closer to the summit, with full license to enjoy, explore, and evaluate the journey to that summit.

  • Coaching contract options include 3, 6, 9, and 12 sessions.
